MLB.com Beat the Streak and Win $1,000,000

Your chances of winning the lotto are probably better; but if nothing else, its a great idea. Here are the rules:
- Pick one player every day who you think will get at least one hit
- Get a hit, your streak continues, get no hits, your streak ends.
- Be the first to reach a 57-game streak and win $1,000,000
Here’s my $1M strategy:
- Target speedy players with high contact rates, and very low walk rates. (Hat Tip: Roto Advice)
- Select hitters vs. opposing pitchers with low K rates, low walk rates, and high fly ball rates.
- Use 14 day splits to find batters in the midst of a hot streak, and
- Prey.
I think selecting batters who have high career BABIP would be a good one to add as well.
How about stick with hitters in the 1 or 2 slot (more chances)? And looking for lefty/right matchups?
Odds of winning? Less favorable than Lloyd Christmas winning the heart of Mary Swanson, but I’ll give it a try for the fun aspect.
Hey, in the past Beat the Streak allowed private leagues where you can invite your friends, and see how their streaks are doing. It looks like this year MLB doesn’t offer the private leagues option. Do you know if we can still create a private league in Beat the Streak?
